Dr. Brynna Connor completed undergraduate studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology through Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Working in healthcare in different capacities solidified her ever-present interest in becoming a clinician, and her desire to go to medical school intensified.

Dr. Connor spent her first two years of medical school training at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her last two years, those spent in clinical training, were spent in Chicago with Ross University.

The sun, the great outdoors, her family and the awesome Texas culture pulled at Dr. Connor’s heartstrings, and she relocated to Texas in 2008. In Austin, she completed residency training in Family Medicine at UT Southwestern at Austin. During her final year of residency, she served as chief resident. Dr. Connor is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Connor believes that a true Family Medicine physician is the patient’s advocate and that a good healthy physician-patient relationship leads to more continuity in patient care and better outcomes. Dr. Connor has a passion for helping patients to connect their mind and body--- a whole health approach. Her goal is to assist her patients in any life stage, to help them to become better health care advocates for themselves, to learn to ask the right questions, and to be unafraid of doing so.

Dr. Connor has been in Austin since 2008, holds current board-certification by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is also a member of the Texas Academy of Family Practice, the American Academy of Family Practice, Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She believes in community involvement and feels privileged to be able to give back by volunteering medical services with a great group at the Volunteer Healthcare Clinic's Urgent Care Clinic.

Dr. Connor maintains current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

And, when Dr. Connor is not wearing her stethoscope and actively seeing patients - in her office or on a house call - she enjoys being very active, the great outdoors,  rivers... lakes... oceans... Austin's many restaurants, local and national music talents, and that Texas sunshine!

Dr. Connor welcomes power naps, trying out new restaurants, hiking the many trails in Austin, and spending time with her large, extended family where new perspectives are gained, without a doubt.

She firmly believes in dog rescue and the amazing groups who work tirelessly to achieve this goal,  for that is who graced her with her beloved Great Dane, Lucie, who passed away in the Fall of 2015, but whose sweet, sweet spirit lives on in life!

Oh, and she believes that a good road trip cures most ailments!
